HP released a firmware update on August 5, 2026 which impacts several cartridges, as detailed in  the Key Information chart.  

How the firmware update is delivered:  

• This is a push update with minimal user intervention to install.  
• Static Control recommends all customers turn automatic updates off.  

Key Information 

The following products will not be affected and can be identified:  

Cartridges:  

• W2110/2210/2310/2410 cartridges marked with B57 and onwards will work. 

Chips: 

• W2110/2210/2310/2410 chips marked with version MFD 042326 and onwards will work.

• Static Control has a solution! Updated products are available. 
• Static Control highly recommends against automatic firmware updates. By properly managing  firmware updates, you can ensure your ability to continue to use fully functional, premium aftermarket cartridges.
